Blame! (pronounced 'Blam') is a manga series with a 2017 anime film adaptation.[1] Blame! takes place in a dystopian future where a catastrophic systems control failure caused humanity to lose control of their powerful self-replicating machines.

Generations later, the remnants of humanity live as refugees within an apparently endless city, fearful of being eliminated by the city's remaining self-defence protocols.

Transhumanist elements

Transhuman forms are explored from non-augmented humans with exosuits, different cyborg and infomorph forms as well as varying alignment's of artificial general intelligence.

Other advanced technology includes molecular manufacturing, advanced medical technology, augmented and mutual reality. The manga suggests the entire city may exist within a multi planetary sized dyson sphere.[2]
