The Extropy Institute was a US think tank studying libertarian transhumanism founded by Max More. Its philosophy would be known as Extropianism.

In 2006 the Extropy Institute closes, declaring its mission 'essentially completed'[2] It presented a strategic plan for transhumanists to carry on its work.[3]
