Religious transhumanism describes the relationship between mostly traditional religious belief with the inclusion and fusion with transhumanist ideas. It may cross over with spiritual transhumanism.

Raëlism, a UFO religion, is a prominent example. Their religion's view on biotechnology, especially with cloning, are more favorable than both traditional mainstream society and alternative religious perspectives on biotechnology—or any technology, that matter.

Religious transhumanism is not to be confused with the idea of transhumanism as a religion.
