A spime (portmanteau of 'space' and 'time') is an object with a recorded and traceable history, including position and socially-relevant interactions. [1] The term was coined by Bruce Sterling at SIGGRAPH 2004, and further detailed in his book Shaping Things and notes in the Viridian Design Movement.[2]
