Starship Troopers is a 1997 science fiction/fantasy movie directed by Dutch director, screenwriter and film producer Paul Verhoeven (Robocop,Total Recall).
It is based on a novel of the same name written by Robert A. Heinlein. [1]
Plot
In a future time where humans have begun to colonize other planets, Earth has provoked an otherwise benign species of bug-like aliens to retaliate violently against our planet, which it suddenly and correctly perceives as hostile. [2]
