Plot

The Island is set in a time where the Earth's environment is supposedly ruined and people live inside domes.

A man named Lincoln Six Echo (McGregor), wishes to fulfil his dream of living his life on "The Island" the one place in the world they say is not contaminated. But, Lincoln begins to experience strange memories that he knows are not his own and he begins to uncover the truth .

Alongside Jordan Two Delta (Johansson) the pair must plot their escape to the outside world.

Transhumanist Elements

The Island features cloning in a case of oligarchic transhumanism, the people on the island are clones being used to generate organs for a wealthy elite.
