Total Recall is a science fiction movie directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (who also appeared in the Terminator movie).

The movie is based on a story written by Philip K. Dick.

Plot

Douglas Quaid (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger), a bored construction worker in the year 2084 dreams of visiting the colonized Mars. He makes a visit to "Rekall," a company with the ability to plant false memories into people's brains, so that he can experience the thrill of Mars without having to travel there.

But, when something goes bad during the procedure; Douglas discovers that his whole life is actually a false memory and that the people who implanted it in his head now want him dead.
