WALL-E is a 2008 science fiction animation movie created by Pixar Animation Studios.[1]


Set in a dystopian future where the world has been overcome by trash, a team of robots called "WALL-E" (Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth Class) are tasked with the job of cleaning up while the humans are away in space.

Transhumanist Elements

Space exploration features as a main element, the humans have left earth behind for what is said to be 5 years while the WALL-E team cleans up the planet.

Artificial Intelligence and Robotics are also heavily featured.

The movie also explores the potential pitfalls of consumerism, oligarchy, and/or Corporatism.
