Dementia (sometimes referred to as senility) is described as "a chronic or persistent disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease or injury and marked by memory disorders, personality changes, and impaired reasoning."

Dementia & Transhumanism

Dementia can often be linked to aging, or be seen as an aging related disease, especially in the case of Alzheimer's. It is therefor an area of interest to longevity advocates, and also a potential target disease for biological rejuvenation therapies.
