The Methuselarity is a concept developed coined by Paul Hynek and popularised by Aubrey de Grey that sits within the longevity escape velocity.[1]

It is a portmanteau of Methuselah, the reported longest lived person from the Bible, and the technological singularity.

Whilst the concept shares similarities to the technological singularity however is far more focused on the direct biological impact on humanity.[2]

... the point in our progress against aging at which our rational expectation of the age to which we can expect to live without age-related physiological and cognitive decline goes from the low three digits to infinite

2030, is David Gobel’s best estimate on reaching the Methuselarity.[3]
