Space exploration

Space exploration, in a transhumanist context, entails adaptations that may need to be made to and around the human body, in order to adapt to alien environments, relativistic timescales and distances, as well as the general hostility of space itself.
In fiction
Most portrayals of space exploration in fiction are primarily in a non-transhumanist context, such as in Star Trek.
A major exception to this trope is the Culture series.
