Second Life is a virtual reality virtual world, similar to that of an MMORPG but with exclusively user defined objectives.
Transhumanists and Humanity+ have maintained a presence there since at least 2006 on 'Uvvy Island'.

- The 'Terasem Annual Colloquium on the Law of Futuristic Persons' is held here.
- On December 10th 2015 the Colloquium was held with speakers including David Wood and Zoltan Istvan and moderator Lori Rhodes
- In September 2011 80 avatars visited Terasem Island for an online conference.
- Every Sunday 9:30 SLT meeting of the group "The Fulfillment" in the "Bolinas" sim with presentation of tech and science news and subsequent discussions[citation needed]
