Total Recall is a 2012 science fiction movie with Cyberpunk elements starring Colin Farrell, that was directed by Len Wiseman.[1]

It is a remake of the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In a dystopian future time period where many parts of the world are no longer habitable, the world is divided into 2 factions.

A factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell) visits Rekall, a company that turns dreams into memories via memory implantation. Quaid thinks that life as a former spy sounds far more interesting, undergoes the procedure and is soon faced with the prospect of being a hunted man.

Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter and must take down the leader of the Free World faction.

Transhumanist Elemtents

The main element of transhumanism in the movie is memory augmentation and memory implantation, exploring its potential but also its pitfalls.

The movie also features many other future tech elements.
