Transdisciplinary Agora for Future Discussions
Transdisciplinary Agora for Future Discussions (TAFFD's) is a think tank dedicated "to helping people understand the benefits and challenges of technology applied to high-impact industries and disciplines across the world". It is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) registered as a nonprofit in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. TAFFD's publishes a successful magazine and has a project underway to publish a journal as well.
TAFFD's was founded in January 2019 by Ósìnàkáchì Ákùmà Kálù, a transhumanist from Nigeria. Transhumanist William Coburn served as CEO. In October 2019 they hosted a conference at the University of Rwanda called the International Conference on Technoscientific Awareness in Solving 21st Century Problems which featured Dinorah Delfin [1], Didier Coeurnelle [2], Aubrey de Grey[3], among many others. In spring 2020 they hosted a "Conference on Future Africa" which featured many transhumanists as speakers including Gennady Stolyarov II, Ilia Stambler [4], Daniel Elton [5], and Tom Ross. The conference was supposed to be in the startup hub of Kigali, Rwanda but was moved to be a virtual event due to the COVID19 pandemic.
In mid-2020 a new leadership was announced with Tom Ross as CEO, Brenda Ramokopelwa as Vice President, Satyajitsinh Gohil as CTO, Edward Hudgins as COO, and Correy Kowall as director of AI.
